                           Home Education Requirements

 

 

 

 

 

 

    Faith Independent Christian Academy encourage you to become familiar with the home school laws of your state.

     Parent- Educators are required to submit a Declaration of Intent Form within 30 Days after establishment of a home study program, and by September 1st annually thereafter.

 

 Law Requires five subjects of Math ,English, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Reading. 180 Days of at least 4 -1/2 hours of instruction.

 

 Several State Laws require notification of your student's attendance to the local Superintendent and the department of transportation. Your Umbrella Church Related School or Your Declaration Of Intent Form in compliance with your states homeschool laws may satisfy homeschool requirements.

We encourage all home school parent educators to maintain records and correspondence of your homeschooled student.

 

 

 Enrollment is available year round, the start of the school year begins July 1st and ends on June 30th.

 

 

  Members are apart of the Home School Legal Defense Association and we encourage all Homeschool parent-educators to become members of the HSLDA.

 

 

We encourage all Home Based Educating families to become familiar with your state laws regarding Home School Laws and requirements.

 

 

 

Families who are in compliance with the homeschool laws of their state may still be visited by government officials who may not know Home School Laws. Faith Independent Christian Academy  highly recommends  home-based-educating families join the Home School Legal Defense Association (hslda.org) and obtain Legal defense for your family.  This organization has been defending homebased educating families for several years, and understands the laws in every state, which HSLDA helped to pass HomeSchool Laws.
